Questions about the licence
How much does it cost?
Terndesk is free to try for 14 days, with everything working. After that a licence is a single payment, not a subscription: $49 for the first 100 buyers, $99 after that. It covers 2 computers, and each further computer is $15. Prices are in US dollars, and the checkout adds sales tax or VAT where it applies.
What do I get with a licence, and for how long?
The first 100 licences include every future version of Terndesk. Later licences include every version released in the year after you buy, and those versions are yours to keep using for as long as you like; only versions released after that year need a new licence.
What happens when the trial ends?
Terndesk stops fetching new mail until you enter a licence key. Everything already on your computer can still be read and searched, and what you do to it, sending included, still reaches your mail server.
Does the licence check phone home?
Only when you activate or remove a licence. Then Terndesk sends the key, an identifier for your computer and the computer's name to its licence service. An activated copy keeps working offline, and your mail, addresses and settings are never part of it.
